Abriel’s story
As I watch the sunrise, it’s so beautiful. The castle is set in the sun’s glow. I look at the field in front of the castle. It wasn’t a big enough field to be on the map, but it was there. But unknown to me or anyone else, the first scrimmage between the nobles and the death corps would take place that very evening on that very field. When the sun was done rising, I headed back to the camp. Most of the ‘warriors’ were up now and starting to eat breakfast. I headed towards Ken’s tent to see if he was up and wanted something to eat. He wasn’t in his tent so I figured he went and got his own. I went around and talked to others and saw Puku. I talked to him for awhile. I could tell he was excited, he couldn’t wait for the battles to start. I took his armor and fixed a couple of dents in it. When it was time for lunch, I cooked the meal for all the ‘warriors’. Being one of the few females in the camp could have its disadvantages. The men all expected me to cook the meals for them, but I only did the noon meal. They were all surprised that I could fix the armor. When the afternoon rolled around Ken rounded up the guys. He announced that we would be attacking the nobles that evening. I was horrified. I was hoping the talks with Lady Cynthia would have worked. I was determined to stop Ken anyway I could.
That evening on the very field that I watched the sun rise over, the scrimmage took place. Five Tronician knights were killed and many more were injured. Ken fought his way into the castle. I followed, jumping on his back, he threw me off and hit me in the face with the torch he was carrying. It hurt but I ignored it. I asked him to stop and talk peace, but he wouldn’t listen. He turned around and started walking towards the dungeon. Once again I jumped on his back. He brought his dagger back and struck me in the side, I fell to the floor. He left me there. As I waited to get my strength back. Terra came and healed me. I ran after Ken again. When I caught up I jumped on his back. I could tell he wasn’t pleased with me. He threw me off once again; he struck me in the side with the sword he was carrying. He ran off trying to save the people in the dungeon. Mizak, one if Ken’s friends, came and saw me on the floor. He grabbed my wrist and dragged me after him. Cynthia yelled at him for it but he refused to listen. When the scrimmage was over, Ken, Mizak, and myself ended up in the Town Square. Mizak then slapped Ken and accused him of something that I dare not repeat, for I wouldn’t want to ruin Ken’s reputation. Then I saw Ebony, the Damsel’s daughter, she was alone and watching us. I told her to come over to me (I had been watching her by some trees till Terra took her). Ebony came, and I took her to the Death Corps camp with me. At the moment she’s staying in my tent with me and taking art lessons. I just hope that peace can be had before anymore scrimmages take place.
