In a town not too far away, lived a boy and his family. The boy was named Shiloh. Shiloh and his family lived in a small, cozy, white and green house. His father, William, was a farmer, who sold his crops for food to feed his family. Shiloh’s mother, Melissa, made quilts to sell at the fairs and carnivals. Randy, his older brother, always had a way of getting into trouble. First he took glue and put it on his teacher’s chair, another student got in trouble for it and later told the teacher that it was really Randy’s fault. Then there’s Christina, the youngest, always following Shiloh and trying to do what he did.
“Christina, would you stop following me.” Shiloh said.
“But Shiloh, if I follow Randy, I’ll get in trouble, just like he does.”
“That’s why you don’t try to do what he does. OK, I’ll let you tag along. Just don’t fall behind.”
“Thanks Shiloh!” Christina said really loud.
Shiloh shook his head wondering why he let Christina follow him. She never helped him with the odd jobs that he does when she does follow him. But if it helped her stay out of their parents way he was more then happy to do it.
The Unlikely Pair
“Hello,” says the fifteen-year-old, a little harshly. She continues to speak, “Granny, is this seat taken?” The elderly woman looks up at this girl. She notices that the girls about fifteen or sixteen; she’s wearing holy jeans, a tight black tee shirt, a black leather jacket, and black army boots. The elderly woman answers “ No, but your welcome to sit there.” The girl takes a better look at the elderly woman. The girl thinks she’s gotta be in her eighty’s for sure. That dress is ugly. I wouldn’t wear it. So to the elderly woman she says, “ I think I will take that seat. Thanks, I think.” “ You remind me of my granddaughter. She’s twenty now, but she used to dress exactly like you.”
