Birthday weekend

So this is my birthday weekend. My birthday was on Friday. Not that I'm one for complaining much, this is my complaint for the weekend. We went to Riverfest and the state fair I didn't mind a whole lot. What I expected to happen, happened. We walked around at both, and didn't try the games or the rides. The rides I understand as we have a little one who can't do the rides yet. But the games, t try and win the little one something, come on. I mean really the only souvenir that I got was a cup that I bought. I also have the ticket and the parking pass...that's it from my big birthday weekend. Like I said I was expecting it and it happened. Yep my husband is that predictable.

So it's been awhile

It's been over a couple of years. I never did finish that poem. It seemed like things came up one of those being my son. My little blessing. After trying for 4 1/2 years, we found out we were expecting. Little man came into our lives in September 2013. My life has been turned upside down. Some days have moments. The one thing that sucks is that my husband had to find a new job. New job has very sucky hours. So he only sees our son on the weekends. So that's the one bad thing about this all. On a positive note, I have kinda reconnected with a friend from high school. We had a falling out, she ended up working with my mom and so we've reconnected. Now she's expecting her first child (her mom's being a drag she says) so maybe this is the reason that we were brought back together. I can't wait to see where this all goes.
