All Alone
(I think this was written for P.J.)
As I sit here all alone.
I think of all the good time I could be having.
I think of all the fun things we did when you were here.
But now you are gone and those things aren't fun anymore.
As I sit all alone.
I wonder what I would be doing if you were here
Would you be here laughing at a joke I just told?
Would you be telling me about your latest love?
But you aren't here to share a good joke with me.
Sitting all alone,
I wonder how I manage to live without you near
I wonder why we had to be so far apart
But I know that some day that distance will close.
Someday we will be nearer then we are now
I sit all alone,
Staring blankly at the TV
Wondering why you aren't here now
Wondering why I have to be alone at this time in my life
Wondering how you could love me.
Sitting with you,
You laugh at my jokes
You tell me of your latest love
We go do the things that we enjoy doing together
I don't have to wonder anymore
Now that you are here.
Blue Flame
(about a ring that I got from my ex.)
The flame leaped and jumped
Making a intricate pattern
Along the silver band
It screamed look at me!
Pay no need to the silver
It's not important
It started to cool down,
Losing it's brightness
No longer vibrant orange.
The flame started to slow down,
no longer the hot red
No longer leaping and jumping
What was once flirtatious,
now a blue flame
On a silver band.
